Dreamily

By the sea I sit and dream
Feeling the touch of the golden sunbeams

As I sit along the rocks
Looking at the seagull flocks

I feel the breeze so clear and still
Imagining with all my will
The sea would come upon the shore
And I would hear it shiver and roar

But NEVER would there be
A storm again
Always sunshine
Never rain
Always happiness
Never pain

Looking at the ocean blue
Imagining my thoughts
Could sometimes come true
But never ever did they do

I ran along the slippery sand
So wet, so cold, so fresh
Overhead the seagulls fly
I hear them cry
The sunset’s due
Will my dreams ever come true?

I hear children laugh
Peace is shattered today
The sea runs away
