The Pain of Parting

If you love someone, set them
free
If they return, it was meant to be
Some companions join us for just a little while
To make us laugh, to make us smile
Don’t be sad when they are gone
Because your life it still goes on
Cherish the time you had together
Because some relationships are not forever
Some doors open as others close
Sometimes what we need’s right in front of our nose
Learn to listen to your heart
And don’t mourn when things break apart
Often brightness lies ahead
Even if the future seems filled with dread
Hope and patience for sunny tomorrows
Will help to eclipse those painful sorrows.
