Sometimes we struggle so hard with the fact that we don’t fit in until we reach that place of wisdom where we realize we no longer care to fit in because greatness springs from uniqueness and it is okay and even desirable to live a life less ordinary. Once you’ve reached that place, it can be so very liberating.
No matter how hard I try, I will never understand people who mock others for thinking outside of the box or daring to be different. You may be content acting safe and coloring inside the lines, but not everyone is and it’s actually this desire for individuality that can make people truly great.

Just realized that Christmas is full of misfits. There’s a talking snowman who is preyed upon by an evil magician, a red-nosed reindeer who even gets dissed by Santa (seriously Father Christmas?) and apparently a bell that can’t jingle. Perhaps I watch way too much kids’ stuff, but I think this is trying to tell us that no matter how different we are from others, this festive season it is time for everyone to accept others as they are and for those who are different to celebrate and accept their gorgeous individuality:-).
