The Ghost Ship

I think I wrote this some time in junior (elementary) school along with a story about the ghost ship. The moral of the story: the (golden) pen is mightier than the sword! …

In the moon, silvery bright
I saw a ship shining in the night
In the ship was a lady
With beauty so fair
Tied to the mast
Just standing there

I tried to help her
Help her free
But the pirate captain
He saw me

I killed him
Using my golden pen
And I untied the lady
And right then
In a ship we rowed away
But the pirates they
Rowed after us
But with my torch
I killed them all
(The pirates of course)

What happened next
I cannot say
I went back in time
A long, long way
