Pain

This poem is actually made up of two incomplete poems that I wrote at different times. I figured they go pretty well together.

Writing down our thoughts
Can be spewing out our pain
Which gushes forth like a river
Of cold and icy rain

When you lack someone trusted
In which to confide
Your worries and concerns can tear you up inside

Torn between two cultures
Trapped in a no-man’s land
Powerless to intervene
Not knowing where I stand

They say the grass is greener
On the other side
But I guess it’s just a rumour
That’s disappearing with the tide
