You know you’re a massage therapy student when you …

Lie awake at night/Wake up in the morning going through the bones/muscles/massage routine/body systems in your head.

Subconsciously use the massage strokes you learned when massaging in body lotion.

Subconsciously start massaging someone’s back/giving them energy when you hug them.

Annoy your partner by pointing out the bones and muscles on his/her body.

Begin comparing massage modalities to styles of art – Swedish = Impressionism, Thai = Surrealism, etc.

Get stressed out at the thought of not getting stressed out during a massage.

Start making up funny names for various massage strokes (e.g. “chicken wing”, “wax on-wax off”, “angel wing”) so that you will personally remember them.

Are not surprised to be in a class full of psychics where everyone’s abilities are openly accepted.

Begin learning what it truly means to be centered and grounded.
