Sarah Had A Little Cat and Meowlicious (two cat poems)

Sarah had a little cat
She had such orange fur
And everywhere that Sarah went
That cat would follow her
Swiping food, craving love and purring in her ear
But Sarah knew that she was blessed
Because Biscuit’s such a dear:-).

Meowlicious

The soothing vibrations of the purring of a cat

There’s nothing more magical, more comforting than that

The deepest of eyes

The softest of fur

Being gently kneaded

As a sign of love from him or her

Three cats came into my life one day

Sometimes they want a mother and other times they want to play

I wouldn’t have it any other way

Because they brighten up my day

Through many sick days, I was bound to my bed

But never far away was my beautiful red

Biscuit always knew what I needed

My emotions and actions she certainly heeded

Sometimes more than the humans I know

And that is why I love her so!

Ember came a little later

She was anxious at first

But as she’s blossomed and grown

Her anxiety’s dispersed

My polydactyl feline

Silver fur and emerald eyes

I’m so happy you are mine

When you were found, you were about to expire

So your name’s in honor of your inner fire

Last but not least came Theodore Jack

Who jumps on the others for a surprise attack

I adore you, my fluffy Teddy

My ragamuffin kitten who’s always ready

For adventure and antics, a hug and a cuddle

You’re a master of mischief and creating a muddle

Yes, the soothing vibrations of the purring of a cat

There’s nothing more magical, more comforting than that
