Somewhere

I was quite musical as a child so I set this poem to music and played it on my keyboard.

Somewhere the oceans roll
And the lightning flashes free
The albatrosses cry
As morning nears
On a ship in the middle of the sea

The sun comes up
The storm is gone
And the waves are blue and calm
The captain’s in his cabin
The sailors scrub the deck
And a little maid’s reading a psalm

The psalm is this
And listen clear
Cos it’s full of life on a ship
But listen hard
And listen long
And you will get my tip.
