Freedom

To be free as the bird on a summer’s day
To be free as the breeze in the month of May
To be free as the leaves on a sycamore tree
Whirling and twirling – oh to be free!

To say what you wish
And do as you will
Nor rules to abide
No deeds to fulfil

Freedom is the baby swallow
Striving and thriving to use its wings
Freedom is the little duckling
Striving to break through its tiny egg
