A Birthday Poem

This poem is in memory of a friend of mine Lloyd who sadly passed away a few years ago. Martina was his significant other at the time.

Dear Martina,

Here’s wishing you fun on your sailing holiday
Enjoy fresh breezes, seabirds and sunsets and plenty of ocean spray.
Look after Lloyd and keep him intact
Cos men are boys in disguise
That really is a fact!
Make the most of your time away
Explore, discover and have an adventure
Look forward to every day.

We only live once
So don’t hesitate to try things new
Grab life by the throat
And be daring in what you do!

Many happy returns of the day from Sarah!
